Sime Darby’s first-ever green-powered homes in the City of Elmina has garnered great response from buyers. 80% of the homes were snapped up during the preview on the 14th of December 2019, and the final preview will be held on 15th February 2020.

The first phase in Elmina Grove, which is the City of Elmina’s maiden landed neighbourhood, is the double-storey Ilham Residence which comprises 513 units. These freehold homes are sized between 1,387 sf and 2,341 sf, and carries a launching price of RM583,999 after discounts and rebates.

Ilham Residence is the first green-powered homes in the City of Elmina. All its homes are installed with smart green metres, solar panels, and home energy management system. With these in place, homeowners of Ilham Residence are now able to monitor their electricity usage and sell back their excess energy to TNB under the Net Energy Metering (NEM) scheme.

In a press release from Sime Darby, General Manager Appollo Leong Yong Kuan stated that, “The Smart Green Home Solutions create awareness on responsible energy consumption which addresses concerns such as climate change and the rising cost of living.”

He further added that Ilham Residence was designed to meet the needs of all walks of life and all types of families – from couples to growing families and multigenerational families. Some of the features that buyers will be able to look forward to include wide and unobstructed spaces, foldable handrails in the bathrooms, and detachable child-safety gates.

And some of the many smart features that have been pre-built into the homes include sockets equipped with USB ports and built-in Bluetooth speakers. The safety of the neighbourhood will be secured with perimeter fencing and 24-hour security.

Some of the many facilities that are in place to serve residents include 10 acres of interactive green spaces, of which there will be 2.5 kilometres of jogging paths and cycling tracks, and five themed gardens. Residents will also have over 16 facilities to enjoy, including a tea house, treehouse, herb and spice garden, skate park, and outdoor fitness equipment among many others.

Residents of the City of Elmina will enjoy seamless access to their homes from major highways including the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), LATAR Expressway, Elite Highway, and Federal Highway. The upcoming Damansara-Shah Alam Highway (DASH) is also expected to shorten the travel time between the City of Elmina and the Kuala Lumpur city centre significantly.
