BÖN Estates had on the 9th of February celebrated CNY by paying tribute to the Chinese culture within a modern setting. The event was held in the BÖN Estates Gallery in Bangsar along Jalan Maarof. This year’s theme centred around the symbolic significance of the plum blossom, bamboo, and pussy willow.

Said BÖN Estates Chief Operating Officer Chan Jin-Wy, “We wanted to start the year on a positive and feel-good note, so we are harnessing the symbolic meaning and influence of these elements to create an atmosphere of hope, wealth and prosperity as we welcome the new year.”

He further added, “Those who are familiar with our brand know that BÖN Estates has an affinity for cultural celebrations, specifically because as a multi-cultural nation we often tap into the spirit of these events to celebrate the shared values that make our Malaysian community unique. This same spirit is vital to the communities we craft because it encourages people to connect intimately with an environment they call home.”

Chinese new year is an event that resonates closely with the ideals of BÖN Estates, of carrying a message of unity, harmony and the strengthening of familial and communal bonds. These elements were well reflected during the celebration, which was held over the weekend.

Whilst enjoying the serene ambience brought about by the presence of the pussy willows, plum blossoms, and bamboo, guests were treated to an array of delectable bites amidst an array of entertainment and family-friendly activities.

The main entertainment highlights included a lion dance performance by the Khuan Loke Dragon & Lion Dance Association and fortune readings provided by Soleil Trinity Resource. Visitors were also treated to a Chinese Knot making session, and a traditional Chinese Paper Cutting workshop. Families also got to enjoy live candy-making shows, and children were kept entertained with a number of activities specially designed for them.

As the event was held at the BÖN Estates award-winning show gallery, visitors also got to experience BÖN Estates’s flagship property – The Estate – firsthand. Guests were given tours of the fully decked out show unit on the third floor, where they got to experience elevated living.

The Estate is at the time of writing close to completion, with 90% of the units sold out. Only the dual key Type E units remain for interested buyers to select from. These units are sized at 3,474 sq ft and come with 5+1 bedrooms, and 4+2 bathrooms. According to Chan, while these units appeal to a wide range of people, it is especially popular with young families.
