The Spotlight 8 campaign from Sime Darby Property returns with a bang, attaining an overwhelming success on its first weekend. All 218 units of Phase 1 Elmina Green Three homes were taken up, a testament to the high demand for freehold, landed properties.

In response to this overwhelming demand, Phase 2 of the development was also introduced during the first Spotlight 8 weekend, where 65 units were taken up by homebuyers. In total, the new and returning customers have booked 283 units of Elmina Green Three homes worth RM250mil thus far.

Elmina Green Three is the latest phase of two-storey homes in Sime Darby Property’s award-winning township in Shah Alam -- City of Elmina. The homes feature built-up areas from 2,262 sf to 2,983 sf, with an extended land area of 20 ft x 80 ft. The homes are priced from RM709,999 before Bumiputera discount.

The return of Sime Darby Property’s Spotlight 8 campaign was kickstarted by the launch of Elmina Green Three. The 11-week campaign features New Launches and Superdeals on developments across different townships every weekend, until 27 September.

Spotlight 8 Year 2020 campaign has drawn interest not only from Malaysia but also from Hong Kong, Singapore, Brunei, and the United Kingdom. The successful start to the campaign shows that now is a perfect time for homebuyers to invest, as they can look forward to more savings with the recently introduced Home Ownership Initiative (HOC) 2020 and take advantage of the low interest rate on housing loans, as well as deals on selected properties from the Spotlight 8 initiative.

The HOC offers homebuyers with numerous attractive benefits which include a minimum of 10% discount and stamp duty exemption on the instruments of transfer and loan agreement for purchasing residential units priced between RM300,000 and RM2.5mil, limited to the first RM1mil of the purchase price.

Sime Darby Property Group Managing Director Dato' Azmir Merican said the re-introduction of the Spotlight 8 initiative helps the company to maintain its solid sales traction from previous online campaigns.

“The numbers show that there is a demand for the quality homes we provide, which are sold at attractive prices and located within strategic locations. Our Spotlight 8 campaign will enable us to drive sales forward, especially with the added boost from the Government’s HOC, which encourages homeownership.”

The inaugural Spotlight 8 campaign, launched in July of last year, sold a total of 1,160 units across Bandar Bukit Raja, City of Elmina, KL East, Subang Jaya, Serenia City, Putra Heights, Kajang, and Negeri Sembilan, recording over RM1.1bil in sales.

“Sales from the campaign last year exceeded our expectations, and we beat the odds of the property market conditions. We hope to attain similar success this year despite the current situation.”

Spotlight 8 Year 2020 will carry on this weekend from 25 to 26 July with Weekend Superdeals featuring freehold and landed homes in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang. Moving forward, Spotlight 8 will showcase three more freehold and landed residential homes that are strategically situated within the Greater Klang Valley.
