3. Check the size of the pipes because size matters (We are referring to pipe diameters here). To have enough water at home, at least ¾-inch pipes need to be installed from the water source down to your home and at least ½-inch pipes from your home down to the faucets.

4. Inspect the water heater at the home. Make sure the pressure relief valve is working correctly, that there are no gurgling sounds that indicates sediment accumulation in the tank and there is proper ventilation. Don’t forget to check for the date of last service and any corrosion in the water heater. Then, you will have an idea of the water heater condition. If it’s too old (normally over 10 years), have the seller replace it for you.

5. Check for leaking signs such as dripping water, whether from the sink, faucet, tub, or shower. You should also check under the sink for other signs of plumbing problems.

6. See if you can spot signs of cracked/warped flooring around the sink, shower, toilet, or refrigerator. Look out for water stains on walls or ceilings too.
