Is it worth to withdraw EPF for housing loan?
EPF return/dividend is higher than bank loan interest rate, so logically u should keep the money in EPF. But some people would like to pay of the housing loan asap, then should take the money from EPF to speed up the repayment.
It's individual choice.
Agreed with @ppnnkk2011 EPF divident is quite high actually, so unless you can't afford, i think it's better to use ur saving for the housing loan than use EPF.
Yea, the EPF div is consider quite high. Don't take it out and leave it there to accumulate if there's no necessary.
Anyone knows how is the process like to withdraw EPF for housing loan repayment? Can kindly enlighten me here?
@Zara
You will first need to make sure you have at least RM500 balance in your Account 2.
1. Request for the template form from your financing bank.
2. Fill up KWSP 9C (AHL) (D8) form.
3. Submit in person at any KWSP branch, and it should be processed within 1 week.
