In case you have yet to notice (which is quite unlikely), many are going gaga over the Niantic Inc. augmented reality game - Pokemon-GO, which made its debut in Malaysia last month. Despite so, the frenzy has not faded with many players still dedicating their free time to go out hunting for Pokemons.

To quickly run-through (for those who have no idea how the game works), Pokemon-GO players are known as Pokemon Trainers while Pokemon are creatures based on the popular Japanese cartoon. The game works using your phone’s GPS location and tracking it in real-time. Pokemon are scattered about any area that you go to, and as you move about, “wild” Pokemon may appear, which you can only see and capture by throwing virtual balls known as “PokeBalls” at it.

Location, in Pokemon-GO, is extremely important as the number of Pokemon appearing depend on the area you are in. There are also Poke-Stops scattered throughout, where you can stock up on more PokeBalls. There are also PokeGyms where you can fight other Pokemon and collect rewards if you win. There are a lucky few spots in the Klang Valley with an abundance of PokeStops and PokeGyms. So here are some of those spots with the most PokeStops and PokeGyms to fuel your obsession. While you're at it, don't forget to play responsibly and say hello to other Trainers!

KLCC

Besides KLCC Park, the next hot-spot for Pokemon Trainers to be are at The Troika. There are five Pokestops within range and plenty of Pokemons to catch. There have also been common sightings of Goldeens at the Menara PNB area.

Other Places

It is without a doubt there are plenty more places to be discovered. Usually, urban areas will give you loads of common Pokemon like Zubats, Pidgeys and Rattatas. If you are looking for water-based Pokémon, try searching where there are bodies of water such as lakes, rivers, and any coastal area, where you might find Pokemon like Dratini, Dragonair or Golduck. Meanwhile, grass type Pokemon can be found at your local parks.

Besides enabling Android user to update timeline activity, Google Maps just added 'Catching Pokemon' as one of the activities.

Happy hunting!

Tips: Do take note that types of Pokemon vary based on time and are changing everyday while rare Pokemon will pop up when you least expect it.
