The development of Bandar Puteri Jaya has been ongoing for the past 16 years as of 2020, encompassing developments of residential properties that are strategically located to various amenities. The township is close to medical centres, police stations, schools and shopping malls, ensuring that residents within the township enjoy a convenient lifestyle.

Within only a short distance of Bandar Puteri Jaya are several schools, including the SJKC Min Terk and Sin Min High School. Within the township itself is also Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Puteri Jaya and Sekolah Menengah Bandar Puteri Jaya, providing residents with more choice of education for their children.

Grocery shopping is also made easy with the several hypermarkets within a stone’s throw from the township. Econsave is only just outside of the township’s borders, and only a short drive out is the Tesco and Giant hypermarket within the town centre of Sungai Petani.

The Mydin supermarket is also within proximity of the hypermarkets, and for more fun family outings, the Amanjaya Mall is also close to home. In lieu of convenient fast food for a quick meal, there is a KFC restaurant at the Shell station which is located at the entrance to the township.

Bandar Puteri Jaya was designed to incorporate nature into its very element to ensure peace and serenity to its residents. To that end, there is a 30-acre Mega Park within its grounds to create family and community bonding, and then there is also the Tasik Hill Park and Tasik Puteri which provides a serene spot for families to picnic and couples to enjoy.

The township of Bandar Puteri Jaya is one that is seemingly secluded but is in actuality well connected to the highway. Connected by the main trunk road of Jalan Kuala Ketil which leads directly into the township itself, residents enjoy almost direct access to the North-South Highway via the Sungai Petani toll. Via the highway, motorists will be only 35km from Penang and 45km from Alor Setar.
