Uptown 2 is a commercial shop-office building, located in Damansara Utama. The development was completed in 1998 by developer See Hoy Chan Group Sdn Bhd, it has seen a lot of upgrades since then. During its change it was also made a Multimedia Super Corridor designated building, which makes it one of the few buildings, to be able to host MSC-Malaysia status entities, making it one of the internationally recognized MSC buildings.
The office tower is 15 storeys tall, with a typical floor built-up of 12,314 sf. The floor space can be partitioned to fit in other office lots, with its 2 lower floors laid out as retail shops. For investors and prospective owners, with the amount of traffic coming in and out of the area daily, this would come as an advantage.
One of the main reasons to why it is an MSC Malaysia certified building is the security system which has been upgraded through the times. The main feature of this security system is the presence of a security control room, as well as turnstiles at the entrance that can only be activated via access card possessed by its tenants. It also has an integrated visitor management system present at the concierge of the building. Apart from that, panic buttons are also installed within the car park in case of emergencies.
Located in the heart of Damansara Utama, Uptown 2 is also located close to a number of amenities, the first being the retail shops within the building itself, which includes restaurants and cafes such as Starbucks, McDonald’s and Subway. Uptown 37, a commercial hub, is located right outside of the compounds of the tower, and it houses a number of amenities, such as banks, cafes, convenience stores, as well as service centres. The Damansara Police Station and the Damansara Specialist Hospital are also located nearby.
The office tower can be reached via the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP). Subsquently, other townships can also be accessed via the highway, and that includes Kelana Jaya, Subang Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Bandar Utama, and Mutiara Damansara. If traffic is an issue, the Uptown 2 is also accessible via the TTDI Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station.
