Kuang is a township located within the Gombak district of Selangor. It was previously a town where the main railway branch to Batu Arang from the mainline of Malayan Railways was located. Today, the main industry for Kuang is in cement distribution for the CIMA Company. Kuang is also home to the largest polo field in Asia which played an important role as the venue for polo during the 1998 Commonwealth Games. Due to its calm and peaceful surroundings, non-locals were attracted to build their homes and recreation centres in the township.
