MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) Line is now complete, with the recent launch of Phase 2 - which means you can expect less traffic jam. In a statement, Datuk Najmuddin Abdullah, MRT Corp Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Relations Director, said that MRT SBK Line will help reduce traffic congestion by removing an estimated 160,000 cars from roads in the Klang Valley.

Ahmad Azeem Anuarudin (image above), a Speech and Drama Facilitator, who lives in Jalan Bukit, Kajang is very happy and grateful with the completion of MRT SBK Phase 2. He says: 

“Prior to the existence of the MRT, we had to rely on the KTM to get to the long distances at low costs. Sometime before 2014, KTM was our best bet to travel as it was quick and on time.

“However, the service went downhill from 7 to 15 minutes a train to 30 to 45 minutes a train. Now, with the availability of the MRT, prominent commuters are able to get to their destinations faster and there are more alternatives to reach one’s destination or discover newer ones.”

Meanwhile, some of our users, who were discussing about it on our page seems to be very sceptical. They say that not all places can be commuted via MRT and many still prefer to drive. 

Without a doubt that MRT Line 1 is not accessible everywhere, which is why there’s MRT Line 2 that is still under construction. Also, the idea of MRT is to make your commuting more seamless than before by integrating with other public transports like monorail, LRT and KTM.

“I parked my car at MRT TTDI station and commute to MRT Cochrane. It took about 25 minutes for me to reach my destination, which I think was super fast compared to driving there. The train is spacious, making the journey much more comfortable. Once MRT Line 2 is complete, I would definitely choose to park and ride,” she concludes her first-hand experience.

@domng Dom, I believe generally properties listed as nearby MRT stations, are able to fetch higher rental yield.

Yup properties within walking distance to MRT station would be able to fetch higher rental or even selling price now. It's a good amenity for investors to take into consideration when buying a property.

Yes , now I stay just beside MRT Station , it's really quite convenience for me to go KL City Center there , especially Bukit Bintang .
