Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana”) was honoured at The Edge Malaysia Property Excellence Awards 2022 (“TEPEA”) at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, taking the joint Number 10 spot to continue the Group’s prestigious ranking in the Top Property Developer Awards (“TPDA”) category for the seventh year.
Tropicana was also recognised at the StarProperty Awards 2022, PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia, and BCI Asia Awards 2022. Its recognition at the StarProperty Awards included the All-Stars Award; Proximity Award (Excellence), Best Integrated Transit-Oriented Development for Tropicana Gardens, Tropicana Indah; and Family-Friendly Award (Excellence), Best Family-Centric Development (Landed) Within Greater KL for Gemala Residences, Tropicana Aman.

Rounding out its accolades, the Group took home the People’s Choice Award at the PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia 2022. It was also named as a Top 10 Developer at the BCI Asia Awards 2022 for its master-planned townships such as Tropicana Danga Cove, Iskandar Malaysia; Tropicana WindCity, Genting Highlands; and Tropicana Metropark, Subang Jaya.
Additionally, Tropicana garnered Best Developer accolades at the ASEAN Property Developer Awards, along with Best Leisure Living Development for Tropicana Grandhill, Genting Highlands; and Best Mixed Use Development for Tropicana Cenang, Langkawi. Finally, the Group received the Transformation Special Award at the inaugural FIABCI Malaysia-Star Malaysia Developer Awards.

The Edge Malaysia Property Excellence Awards 2022
The Group’s 10th ranking recognition this year in the Top Property Developers Awards category comprised its seventh victorious year in TEPEA.
1. Presented by City & Country, the property pullout of The Edge Malaysia, TPDA ranks the best property players in Malaysia based on their qualitative and quantitative attributes.
StarProperty Awards 2022
Tropicana’s win at the StarProperty Awards 2022 is its sixth victorious year on the platform, organised by property listing platform StarProperty.my to pay homage to real estate developers who have contributed to the growth of the nation’s real estate industry.
The ceremony distinguished the Group in three categories:
1. The coveted All-Stars Award recognised Tropicana as an all-star champion of the industry based on the quantifiable performance of its respective companies.
2. The Proximity Award (Excellence), Best Integrated Transit-Oriented Development acknowledged Tropicana Gardens, Tropicana Indah as the epitome of the “Work, Play, Live & Learn” concept. An integrated development spanning 17.6 acres, it is designed to be the next modern and vibrant hub, with residents and office workers treated to pockets of greenery and garden pathways as well as maximum convenience with the mall and Surian MRT station right at their doorstep.
3. The Family-Friendly Award (Excellence), Best Family-Centric Development (Landed) Within Greater KL honoured Gemala Residences, Tropicana Aman as a development that puts family first. Comprising 15.5 acres of garden-linked villas, Gemala Residences leverages on the pull factors of the surrounding township, including a Central Park sprawling across 85 acres, Recreational Hub, and 7-kilometre jogging and cycling trail, as well as Tenby International School and SJKC Bukit Fraser nearby.
PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia 2022
Organised in partnership with iProperty.com.my, the Group’s achievement at the PropertyGuru Asia Awards 2022 comprises its fifth triumphant year at the real estate industry honours. The platform is part of the regional PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards programme established in 2005.
1. The People’s Choice Awards recognises Malaysia’s most trusted and preferred real estate developers, as voted by property buyers and verified by PwC (“PricewaterhouseCoopers”) Malaysia.
BCI Asia Awards 2022
Tropicana’s success at the BCI Asia Awards represented its 10th victory* on the annual platform. Hosted by construction data and solutions provider BCI Central, its recognition in the Top 10 Developers Award category showcases the aggregate value of Tropicana’s master-planned townships under construction, weighted by their sustainability and green building ratings. These included:
1. Tropicana Danga Cove, Iskandar Malaysia, an oasis of luxurious convenience strategically located amidst a coveted enclave. This township sprawls across 227 acres, offering landed residential properties and complemented with commercial shop offices, hotels, and more.
2. Tropicana WindCity, Genting Highlands, a holistic retail, recreational and residential oasis comprising 596 acres with the motto: “Life. Laugh. Love. It’s In The Air.” It comprises three distinctive masterplans: Tropicana Grandhill, Tropicana Paradise and Tropicana Avalon.

3. Tropicana Metropark, Subang Jaya, uniting urban lifestyles and the great outdoors by offering high-rise residences encircling a lake. Tropicana also saw its first victory at the ASEAN Property Developer Awards 2022, established by media publishing house Des Prix Infinitus Media in 2018 to recognise property excellence across the ASEAN region. In total, the Group took home three awards, namely:
1. The Best Developer Award, given to outstanding players passionate in terms of building communities and fostering economic growth.
2. Best Leisure Living Development for Tropicana Grandhill, Genting Highlands, a wholesome and holistic city spanning 112 acres with evergreen lifestyle offerings such as a proposed wellness hub and silver hair village.
3. Best Mixed Use Development for Tropicana Cenang, Langkawi, sited on 5.3 acres of freehold land and strategically located on the popular Cenang beach. Its brilliant mix of resort-style seafront residences is elevated by retail, dining and luxe 5-star hotel.
FIABCI Malaysia-Star Malaysia Developer Awards
Rounding out its recent wins, the Group also took home the Transformation Special Award at the inaugural Malaysia Developer Awards, founded as a mark of excellence for developers demonstrating high degrees of corporate performance and quality governance standards.
1. The Transformation Special Award, received for Tropicana Metropark, recognises developments that have resuscitated or rejuvenated pre-existing buildings, transforming them into purposeful projects.
“These wins reassert the Tropicana brand name and are a reflection of appreciation to our team. They have remained committed despite the challenges, investing their time and energy to build the Tropicana brand. Moving forward, we will continue to leverage on our brand name and roll-out strategic marketing campaigns. We will also accelerate our digital journey including enhancing our Tropicana 360 app, as well as our e-strategies to improve operational efficiency. Finally, we will unlock our landbank at the right locations and price points while entering into more Smart Partnerships with the right partners,” Dion concluded.
