PETALING JAYA (June 22, 2018): Bigger and better than before, MIEA’s National Real Estate Awards is back for its 2018 installment to celebrate the successful achievements of real-estate firms and agents nationwide!
Since the first inception of NREA in 2009, the awards are closely regarded to in the industry as Malaysia’s Premier Real Estate Awards. Celebrating excellence and high standards in the real-estate industry, the NREA also serves as a platform to acknowledge the momentous achievements of real-estate companies and practitioners who strive to raise the bar higher than ever before.
A new aspect that has been introduced this year is the awards submission entry guidelines and template that each participant needs to abide by to submit their entry. Mr Lim Boon Ping, the President Elect, shared that these templates and guidelines were introduced to help streamline the submission process, as well as providing some guidance for companies and/or agents to submit their applications.

“During the past 9 years that we’ve had these awards, we’ve received previous feedback telling us that it is very difficult to submit (applications) for our awards. They don’t know how to write why they should win.” Beginning this year onwards, MIEA is determined to improve on that aspect by making it as a user-friendly as possible - with a provided template for submissions that participants can refer to.
This year, a total of 17 awards will be handed out to only the crème de la crème of the real-estate world. Some of the most anticipated awards include the Real Estate Agent of the Year, Real Estate Firm of the Year, Most Innovative Marketing Idea, REN of the Year, and Million Dollar Producers (MDP). Submissions are open until August 10th 2018 12PM, so do make sure to submit your entries before then.

Winners of the NREA will be entitled to several accolades such as a priceless winner’s trophy, a framed certificate, and an award winners lapel pin. Not only that, winners will be featured in various press conference and media releases, media advertisements, an official announcement of recipients in the MIEA official ‘Award Recipient’s Handbook’, and a permanent listing of winners on MIEA’s own website.

The awards judging date is scheduled to commence on August 28th 2018, and the awards will be handed out during the NREA Gala Dinner on October 21st 2018 followed by a post-award cocktail reception on November 23rd 2018. As one of the industry’s hottest and most sought-after awards, there is no better time than the present to show off your accomplishments and experience.
Looking ahead in the near future of 2019, Lim shared that MIEA aims to organize the first-ever ASEAN Pacific Real Estate Awards, including countries such as Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand as participants.
