Eco World International Berhad (EcoWorld International) reached a pivotal milestone with the topping out of its AUD315 million West Village project in Parramatta, Sydney. Standing at 40 storeys tall, West Village is EcoWorld International’s first Australian project, and is one of the only few skyscrapers proposed for the growth corridor to reach its full height.

The occasion was celebrated by a small and intimate ceremony on site, attended by the Mayor of Parramatta, Lord Mayor Bob Dwyer, Executive Vice Chairman of EcoWorld International Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin and President & CEO of EcoWorld International Dato’ Teow Leong Seng.

West Village was designed by the world-class architecture firm Woods Bagot, and complemented by the landscaping team of Myles Baldwin, West Village. Sited alongside the already completed developments of Altitude, Skyrise and the soon to be complete 4 Parramatta Square which is slated for completion in 2020, the development has so far enjoyed a 95% take-up rate.

Many of the buyers seek to enjoy West Village’s strategic location close to the train station, Westfield Parramatta shopping centre, and the many trendy F&B outlets close by. And as Paramatta is Sydney’s second Central Business District (CBD), it is undergoing major transformation with infrastructure projects and development catering to a growing population and employment opportunities.

Commenting on the topping out of West Village, EcoWorld International Australia’s CEO Yap Foo Leong said, “West Village is our first Australian project to top out and it is an honour to celebrate the occasion alongside Lord Mayor Bob Dwyer. We have always held the view that Parramatta would be the next growth area for Sydney due to its central geographical location in New South Wales and its excellent infrastructure and amenities.

“Parramatta truly suits our hallmark for rolling out quality developments in prime locations that can cater to the local needs of the residents, and the success West Village has experienced confirms the prediction that Parramatta is set to become the new CBD.”

West Village is a residential development of 398 units of luxury apartments, that come with spectacular balconies and residential amenities. Residents will have the luxury of a rooftop tower fully equipped with BBQ facilities, a piano room, a virtual golf room, and a gorgeous podium sky garden. Its Ground floor enjoys 3 street frontages, which feature a vibrant retail scene, and an intimate alfresco dining neighbourhood of delectable restaurants and cafes.

EcoWorld International next Australian project slated for completion in February 2020 is Yarra One in Melbourne.
