What Do You Think Of The Newly Launch MRT2? Do you think it will reduce the massive traffic in Cheras? Also, will it influence your decision making when buying property in Cheras?

it will help definitely. but if there is more condo along the MRT road or nearby. then it is a bit hard to justify

@6011_3531_5354 why do you think it's hard to justify? Since there's MRT - probably people would be commuting than driving. No?

Not all work can be commute using the MRT. I know majority are office work people but not all willing to commute using the transport, we still have a mindset of driving.

For the property, it depends.

certain work place is not accessible by mrt

Reliability and Affordability is the key... once the MRT can deliver consistently... i don't see why it will not reduce road traffic jams.

For sure it make life of cheras resident more convenient, reduce traffic jam stress, saving time & cost but to what significant degree, this is a question mark that we shall watch and see.......

The MRT is still new and will need to be fine tuned to suit and benefit the local community... there is no one size fits all MRT system.

Yes you are right, we shall watch and see. Still too early to tell.

After all, it really depends if the MRT will bring us to the place we want to go. If yes, then definitely will reduce the traffic. From what I have seen in the Line 1, not much difference though. Shall wait and see.

I think existing cars on the road will not disappear overnight after the MRT service starts... will need to give it some time to ease the traffic jams in Klang Valley.

I don't think so , because mostly people still using their own transport to traveling ...

With Grab services being so popular nowadays, it is cheaper and more environmental friendly to leave your vehicle at home.

The MRT services in the Klang Valley, is still under utilized i have heard.

It's not possible to reduce traffic congestion in Kang Valley. In Malaysia, nearly each household have at least a vehicle at home(be it bike, car, etc). Some even have up to 5 or 6, depending on family size.

Public transportation need to be well connected. Sadly to say not all areas in Klang Valley are accessible by MRT, LRT, Monorail, buses etc. Land is limited in big cities. Roads be it highways, city roads etc are getting narrower. More vehicles and more people at the same time during rush hours.
