Mengenai Taman Hillview
Taman Hillview is an established housing development located in Ukay next to the MRR2, roughly halfway between Ampang and Melawati. Despite being situated in a quiet and peaceful environment and surrounded by lush greenery with fresh cool air, Taman Hillview is infamous for landslide tragedies. Taman Hillview lies close to the landslide-prone area that hit the Highland Towers in December 1993. Taman Hillview used to be popular among the Western expatriates in the 1970s. It still is, but now there are a number of vacant homes, especially those close to the infamous Highland Towers. Landslides occurred again in 2002, causing a bungalow to collapse due to soil erosion. Authorities have since built a wall against the hill to prevent more landslides from occurring, costing almost RM5 million to complete the construction works.
