据马新社报道，拥有梳邦USJ高峰酒店（Summit Hotel）82%股权的 AmFIRST 房地产投资信托基金（AmFIRST REIT），将耗资2000万至3000万令吉的资金为该酒店进行翻新工程，以保持该酒店的四星评级。

目前由高峰酒店管理有限公司（Summit Hotel Management Sdn Bhd）管理的高峰酒店，在选出新酒店运营商后，就会展开翻新工程。

AmFIRST 房地产投资信托基金的副首席执行官 Zuhairy Md Isa 表示，该公司已经确认一些良好的酒店运营商，并需要三至六个月的时间才能公布最终决定。

酒店的几乎每一部分都将被翻新，以打造崭新面貌满足新运营商的标准要求。

他也加上，集团在2008年买下该酒店时，曾经耗资700万令吉于其建筑的翻新工作。

自酒店八年前的翻新工作之后，酒店下方的商场近期内也已进行翻新工程，所以该酒店也是时候再刷新一番。

Time for some makeover. The Summit USJ mall has also been facelifted or renovated. Look much better now. If compare to Da Men, newly opened. I still prefer the Summit USJ.

Traffic congestion is getting worst there with all the new developments coming up in USJ 1 area. There should be an exit to Kesas to help ease congestion at the Summit/Jalan Kewajipan traffic light.

I wonder the authority really looked at all this problems when approving development in the area....

The odd thing is I never liked to visit Summit. I have stayed in Subang for my entire life and I can count with my 10 fingers the number of times I went to Summit. It gives me the dull and uninteresting feel whenever I go there, not many nice outlets also, but I don't know about now though, shall find out soon.

I go to Damen USJ quite often, I must say it's quite good for a neighbourhood mall. Wasn't expecting it to be like this. As for Summit, I saw it from outside and it looks so much better now. I wonder if the tenant inside are the same??? I didn't notice the hotel though.

The only shop in Damen that is always crowded is Go Noodle House...

Ya that's true. It's not that busy compared to Mid Valley, Sunway Pyramid, Pavillion, but it's good enough if you just want a quick bite, coffee or groceries shopping. It fits the purpose. 

Summit USJ new facelift will give the mall a booster to improve its image ..but I think it still need more reputable good anchor tenants to be there to boost the place up..

Yea, definitely need more anchor brands in order for it to sustained. Besides that, there's place to catch a movie. One win point.

They are changing their tenant to better brand and as well as changing the mall concept with better design and concept

Are the tenants inside the new Summit Mall still the same? 

Seems like and sounds like the summit is ok to visit now..lol...there was a summit plaza back in Bukit Mertajam but it didn't work out...but at least I think their hotel there is still running~

Went there last weekend. Inside is still exactly the same. No difference. Only outside looks more 'posh' now after the renovation. Shoppers might feel like being conned. I am sure people expect the retail shops inside to be different or more 'upscale' than before, but it's still exactly the same. So, what's the point of the external renovation??
