Hilton and Inspirasi Langkawi Sdn Bhd have signed a 15-year agreement to build The Nautilus Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton. Slated to launch in 2023, The Nautilus Resort will be a 250-room hotel in Langkawi.

The Nautilus Resort will be the first of the Curio Collection by Hilton in Malaysia, and Hilton’s first property on the island of Langkawi. The resort will be a fine addition to the hospitality company’s portfolio of hotels in Malaysia where they operate 11 properties across 3 different brands.

The Curio Collection by Hilton is headed by Jenna Hackett, who has been its global head since they launched in 2014. The Collection has since then sparked interest in the international development community, for its diverse portfolio of hotels.

According to Jenna, “From urban landmarks to beautiful beach resorts, each Curio Collection property is a one-of-a-kind discovery and an integral part of its destination. With Langkawi boasting South-East Asia’s first Unesco Geopark and its reputation as the ultimate island escape, we are confident The Nautilus Resort will be a great addition to this popular leisure destination, as well as to our collection of unique hotels and resorts.”

The Senior Vice President of Hilton Asia and Australasia, Guy Philips, added in, "We are always on the look-out for the right opportunity to expand our footprint across the region with the right partners.

“The island of Langkawi needs no introduction as it consistently ranks amongst the most popular resort destinations in South-East Asia and we are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Inspirasi Langkawi to bring to life a brand new, unique Curio Collection property in the heart of Cenang Beach. We are confident the resort will be top of mind for international and domestic travellers to Langkawi when it opens in 2023.”

The Nautilus Resort will be a luxurious getaway with 3 different F&B outlets, featuring an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, and a rooftop bar. Of the other facilities that guests can look forward to a swimming pool, fitness centre, and kids’ club. There will also be a ballroom of approximately 350 sqm and an event space of about 680 sqm in size.

As a participating hotel of the award-winning Hilton Honors guest-loyalty programme, members who visit The Nautilus Resort will enjoy many benefits. Members will benefit from direct bookings, where they will get exclusive member discounts and free WiFi. They will also get to select almost any combination of points and money to book their stay with, with the Hilton Honors flexible payment slider.

The Nautilus Resort will be strategically located only 9 kilometres away from the Langkawi International Airport. The island’s Star Cruise Jetty will only be 5 kilometres away, and the beach town of Cenang Beach with its many attractions, restaurants, and bars will be a mere stone’s throw away.

I like the design of the hotel. Looks similar to a large cruise ship.
