Petronas Twin Towers, a famous landmark for Malaysia, having made the country more recognized on a world scale, is part of the KLCC development by KLCC Holdings. The structure of Petronas Twin Towers has a curtain wall of glass and steel to diffuse the intense equatorial light. It engages a double-decker elevator system to accommodate the thousands of employees housed within it, with a sky lobby point situated at the 41st floor. The whole Kuala Lumpur City Center project was built on the former Selangor Turf Club.
Petronas Twin Towers has a mixed base comprising of a concert hall (the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas), a shopping complex (Suria KLCC), a skybridge that connects the two towers (on the 41st and 42ndfloor), and almost 70 acres of parks and plazas. Also included in the Kuala Lumpur City Center is the Maxis Tower, Esso Tower, KLCC park and the Mandarin Oriental hotel.
