It has a central park that comes complete with lakes, jogging and cycling paths and carefully designed homes that come with spacious with practical layouts.

According to Aw Sei Cheh, Chief Operating Officer of Gamuda Land, “At Gamuda Land, we are guided by sincerity, committed to act responsibly and motivated by originality in all we do. What truly differentiates our developments is our mindful town-making principles.

“One of it is getting the places right to make the town work. Beyond location, design and quality of our developments, we also invest upfront in strategic placemaking and advance completion of infrastructure as well as public spaces, including the Quayside Mall, the central park and lakes, providing long term value creation for the community.”

Aw further added, “So, when we plan our towns, we think not only the home place, but also the work place, shopping place, eating place, play place, park place and learning place. All these need to be thoughtfully brought together, fronting a lake, and seamlessly connected to the homes, creating a vibrant community, so the community can easily bike or walk around the township which also help reduce our carbon footprint.”

Quayside Mall the Biggest Mall in the Vicinity

Quayside Mall will be the biggest mall in Kota Kemuning. It is a lifestyle mall that comprises of 328,153 sf of net lettable area with 107 retail outlets. There will be about 1,300 car parking bays to cater to shoppers.

Construction of the mall is on schedule, and is slated to begin serving the first phase of the Kota Kemuning community in June 2020. When Kota Kemuning is fully completed in 2030, the mall is projected to cater to the estimated population of 15,000 within the township, and the estimated population of 871,000 from the surrounding community within a 10km radius.

Gamuda Land has attributed the timeliness of the project to the careful planning on the part of the engineers, consultants, and designers. The construction was carried out with combination of reinforced concrete structure with steel elements, and a green formwork for basement construction, designed to minimise the earthworks below ground level. This makes for a stronger foundation and greener construction. All of these efforts combined means that Quayside Mall will be a structurally sturdy mall with an aesthetic design that will fit perfectly into the overall theme of the township.

Said Herbie Tan, “To us, malls are not just retail spaces. Malls can be experiential spaces filled with various entertainment, services and activities that enhance the overall shopping experience. We have put in much thought and research into the planning, design construction as well as positioning of the mall. Positioned as a “Community Curator”, a good tenancy mix was carefully established to include popular F&B outlets, bars, beauty and wellness, cinema, fitness centre and more,”

She further added that the Quayside Mall is poised to be the catalyst that creates sustainable value for the community in the area, generating constant footfall to twentyfive.7.

They have 40 tenants from a variety of fields, from F&B, entertainment, fashion, grocery, pharmacy, bakeries and cafés, to hobby and lifestyle outlets.
