Berjaya Golf Resort Berhad, a subsidiary of Berjaya Land Berhad (“B-Land”), has on the 25th of February officially handed over the keys of their first affordable home project. Located in the prime location of Bukit Jalil, the homes of Residensi Lanai was launched in 2017 under the RUMAWIP program.
Present during the key handover session to its owners were Syed Ali, Chief Executive Officer of B-Land Dato’ Zurainah Binti Musa, Executive Director of Berjaya Corporation Berhad, and Tan Tee Ming, Senior General Manager, Property Sales and Marketing Division, B-Land.
Residensi Lanai is a 29-storey condominium that was built over 2.56 acres of land. It comes with a 5-storey podium parking lot, and a total of 648 homes. Each unit is sized at 800 sf, and comes with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The homes of Residensi Lanai are strategically located in Bukit Jalil, surrounded by matured neighbourhoods. Residents will enjoy seamless access to the major highways of the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) and the Maju Expressway (MEX). Public transportation in lieu of Rapid KL busses and the Bukit Jalil LRT line are also within easy access.
The Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex and the Bukit Jalil Recreational Park is only a short distance from the development, and some of the units overlook a panoramic view of the Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Resort.
During the key handover ceremony speech, Syed Ali said, “One of the key indicators of a country’s progressive development is through its provision of sustainable housing and adequate infrastructure for its citizens. In this regard, under the National Housing Policy, our Government has introduced various programmes to provide more home ownership opportunities for Malaysians, especially the first-home buyers.
“Berjaya is also proud to be contributing towards the Government’s housing development initiatives by building quality and affordable housing. Besides Residensi Lanai, Berjaya has other affordable homes projects in the pipeline in Subang Heights, Shah Alam and Penang.”
It was also announced during the speech that Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan, Executive Chairman of Berjaya Corporation has pledged to contribute 20 acres of land to the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, to support the government’s initiatives of building more affordable homes and improving home ownership. The land is located in Bestari Jaya, Selangor.
