Bayan Lepas Industrial Park is a high-tech industrial zone located in Southwest Penang’s district capital, Bayan Lepas. Conceived in the early 1970’s by the late Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu, the second Chief Minister of Penang, the development was responsible in driving Penang’s economy, making it the third largest economic power in Malaysia. Being in Bayan Lepas, the development is also surrounded by many amenities within its vicinity such as the Penang International Airport, Queensbay Mall, the Bukit Jambul Complex and Giant Hypermarket. Accessible via the Lebuhraya Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu (or the Bayan Lepas Expressway), the development is easily connected to George Town and the host of commercial and entertainment facilities it provides there. Also easily connected via the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge (or Penang Second Bridge), the development can access Penang’s mainland, Seberang Perai.
