Jalan Jones is a road which connects the major roads of Jalan Burmah and Jalan Kelawei in Georgetown, Penang. 2 other smaller roads branch out from Jalan Jones, namely Tingkat Jones and Solok Jones.

Properties along Jalan Jones consist of freehold, double-storey terrace homes built during the 20th century. Throughout the decades, most of those homes have been repurposed into shop offices housing businesses of all sorts. There are also several triple-storey shop offices which have been built over the existing homes.

Units, either the existing residences or converted shop offices, are at least 1,600 sf in built-up space. Given the scarcity of land in the city, properties situated along the road have also appreciated tremendously in value, with subsale prices beginning from RM1,360,000. Investing in a unit could fair well, given the rather high rental rates of about RM4,500 per month.

Amenities are not too common along Jalan Jones, with most being beauty salons and other business like home decorations established within the converted shop offices. However, given its proximity to Jalan Burma, restaurants, eateries, hawker centres, convenience stores, banks and more are just a short drive away.

Being a part of the network of roads and lanes within the city, properties situated throughout Jalan Jones enjoy accessibility to different parts of Georgetown as well as other parts of the island. Major roads nearby, apart from Jalan Burma and Jalan Kelawei, include Gurney Drive, Jalan Penang, Jalan Pangkor, Jalan Cantonment, Jalan Macalister and Jalan Dr. Lim Chwee Leong. Pengkalan Weld and the Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway are also just a short distance away. With that, the first Penang bridge is about 15 minutes away and the city centre is under 10 minutes’ drive from Jalan Jones.

For eating, there are so many coffee shop and restaurant.
For exercise, Botanical Garden and Youth Park are so near. Just 10 min of car travel can reach.

Gurney Wharf will ready soon. It is a the 24.28-hectare seafront park that will comprise four distinct recreational areas - a beach, a coastal grove, a water garden, and a seaside retail food and beverages (F&B) area. Here to there will just 5 min of car travel time.
I really like this place after moving in. The living style at this area is so good.
