Pinggiran Taman Tun Dr Ismail is a neighbourhood that resides comfortably at the edge of Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI). It used to be part of Kampung Sungai Penchala until the building of the SPRINT highway. One can reach here via the mentioned highway or Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) towards TTDI's neighbourhood.
This Malay reserve land area still maintains its laid-back atmosphere despite being close to major commercial developments. Not only that, the traffic here is quite smooth too. Due to its strategic location with many access roads to nearby neighbourhoods, one wouldn't be stuck in traffic for a long time.
When it comes to amenities, there are many within close proximity of Pinggiran Taman Tun Dr Ismail. For example, there are schools such as SK Taman Tun Dr Ismail 1, SK Taman Tun Dr Ismail 2, SMK Taman Tun Dr Ismail and also the British International School in Bandar Utama.
Meanwhile, for medical purposes, residents can go to Damansara Specialist Centre, a 24-hour clinic at Lorong Rahim Kajai (7 to 10 minutes walk). As for shopping and entertainment? Well, The Curve, IPC Shopping Centre, IKEA and Tesco all are located in Mutiara Damansara, which is about 8 minutes away.
For eateries, there are plenty of restaurants along Lorong Rahim Kajai too, or you can even drive to Kampung Sg Penchala (11 minutes journey) in search for authentic Malay food choices, one such as Restaurant Sambal Hijau. Other than that, residents can go for jogging and hiking at Taman Tun Dr Ismail Park.
