Not to be confused with the location Taipan in USJ, Taipan 1 is actually a commercial enclave located within Ara Damansara. With the large number of housing developments and upcoming high rises on the rise, this commercial area was expected to fetch exceptionally high prices. Very unfortunately, the area began to deteriorate over the years after with less than 50% occupancy rate in 2013, especially when rubbish collectors abruptly stopped making their rounds in the area resulting in much trash everywhere, open burning and rampant break-ins. These problems were purported to have been solved, and would very hopefully not reoccur in the coming years.
