Plaza Pulau Tikus is a shop office complex built on a freehold plot of land facing Jalan Burma, one of Penang’s busy major roads cutting through Georgetown, the state’s capital city. While the complex is in no way new, it is designed to be relatively aesthetically pleasing, with a classic facade and walkway terraces along the higher floors. Currently, Plaza Pulau Tikus is home to businesses like a bank (Hong Leong Bank), a development company as well as several educational establishments and international university representatives, serving the bustling neighbourhood around it where many condominiums, apartments, schools, commercial complexes, restaurants and shopping malls can be found. The plaza is situated along at least four bus routes – 101, 102, 103 and 304 – with a bus stop just a minute’s walk from the plaza, increasing foot traffic in the prime area. Parking lots are also available around the plaza for staff and customers.
