Gasing Heights is an established neighbourhood nestled in the quiet and peaceful hillside of Bukit Gasing. Residents can enjoy the luxury of getting acquainted with nature and experience the gentle cool breeze in the morning, smell of fresh morning dew, birds chirping. Many of the residents of Gasing Heights consist of high profile and professional individuals.

Residents and visitors can escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy nature by visiting the Bukit Gasing Forest Park. Once a rubber plantation, the area has been transformed into a sanctuary for flora and fauna where tourists can go hiking and mountain biking.

Strategically located within minutes of driving to Mid Valley Shopping Mall, BSC, and Bangsar Village 1 & 2, residents are able to gain access into and out of Gasing Heights by boarding the KTM Komuter train at the Petaling and Jalan Templer Komuter train stations, or the LRT train at the Taman Jaya LRT station. Public amenities in Gasing Heights include nearby schools, Assunta Hospital, banks, and restaurants in PJ New Town and Old Town Centre, all within driving distance.

However, there have been news reports on landslides that occurred in Gasing Heights in 2013. Heavy rain had fallen on certain parts of Petaling Jaya and caused a double landslip, which resulted in several trees being uprooted and a mud flow onto the road. Residents living near Gasing Heights are now fearful and worried that the current weather conditions will cause further soil movement and more mud flows that could endanger motorists who use the road.

Petty thefts occur occasionally in Gasing Heights, such as an incident that took place in 2013 when Gasing Heights assemblyman Rajiv Rishyakaran became a victim of snatch theft. A man also had his iPad grabbed from his hands while he was having breakfast. Local authorities have advised residents to be alert and aware at all times to avoid becoming victims of these petty crimes.
