Bandar Putra Permai is a township in Selangor and is located between Puchong and Seri Kembangan. Bandar Putra Permai is slowly growing into an area with plenty of commercial developments, consisting mostly of semi-detached shop-offices and condominiums.

Property development here has potential as it is not very far from the city and is accessible via many highways. The cost of land in this township is cheaper and the large Chinese population in Bandar Putra Permai has strong purchasing power. Properties in here are more affordable compared to the mid- and high-end properties in Puchong. Development is rapidly growing and so are the public amenities that are provided.

Hospitals, universities, schools and shopping centres is turning Bandar Putra Permai from a backwater township into a hot spot area. As a result of rapid population growth and good road network, the value of commercial properties has improved.

With a chain of highways and expressways leading in and out of Bandar Putra Permai, residents have plenty of options. Residents can also opt to use public transport via the KTM Komuter at the Serdang station, RapidKL bus service, and taxis. The public transport situation was given a boost with the completion of the Permai Central Transport Hub (PCTH) in 2010, an integrated commercial development combining business, leisure, and public transportation.

Residents of Bandar Putra Permai will be able to rest easy as traffic congestion will be solved after plans to construct a new elevated interchange emerged in 2013. This interchange will alleviate traffic problems by allowing road users to enter and exit the MEX Highway via Jalan Putra Permai. The estimated date of completion for this interchange is in 2015.

Consumer Price Index

This is a representation of Selangor Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the year of 2011 - 2015

Did you know?

A consumer price index (CPI) measures changes in the price level of a market basket of consumer goods and services purchased by households. (Wikipedia)

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) line shows an increment in prices of essential goods on a yearly basis, while the Percentage Changes line shows the level of changes in price increments over the years. For example, a dip in the CPI line may indicate a low level of price increment as compared to the previous year while a surge in CPI line shows a high level of price increment as compared to the previous year.

The above graph shows 1.644% of price changes in essential goods such as rice, meat and tobacco between the years 2011 and 2012, while increasing in difference to 2.093% in 2013. Prices of essential goods then increasing to 3.448% in the year 2014 while surging by 2.523% in 2015.

While the prices of essential goods have shown a variation in the Percentage Changes, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) on the other hand indicates a reality of ever increasing prices in essential goods with increments between the years 2011 - 2015 at 102.7 in 2011, 105.1 in 2012, 107.3 in 2013, 111.0 in 2014, 113.8 in 2015.
