UEP Subang Jaya which is also commonly known as USJ is a thriving township which is a part of Subang Jaya in Selangor. Featuring plenty of residential areas ranging from low-cost apartments to bungalows, UEP Subang Jaya is a high density township.

Some of its attractions is its proximity to several institutes of higher education and shopping malls. This has caused the price of homes here to be on a constant rise, although criminal activities have also risen by much in the township.

Residents and business owners have complained that despite having a police headquarter and a police station in Taipan USJ, break-ins, robberies and snatch-thefts are still rather common.

The traffic in UEP Subang Jaya is also a major issue with residents especially during peak hours, although the upcoming MRT project which goes through UEP Subang Jaya that is scheduled to be completed by 2016 is expected to ease traffic conditions.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) line shows an increment in prices of essential goods on a yearly basis, while the Percentage Changes line shows the level of changes in price increments over the years. For example, a dip in the CPI line may indicate a low level of price increment as compared to the previous year while a surge in CPI line shows a high level of price increment as compared to the previous year.

The above graph shows 1.644% of price changes in essential goods such as rice, meat and tobacco between the years 2011 and 2012, while increasing in difference to 2.093% in 2013. Prices of essential goods then increasing to 3.448% in the year 2014 while surging by 2.523% in 2015.

While the prices of essential goods have shown a variation in the Percentage Changes, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) on the other hand indicates a reality of ever increasing prices in essential goods with increments between the years 2011 - 2015 at 102.7 in 2011, 105.1 in 2012, 107.3 in 2013, 111.0 in 2014, 113.8 in 2015.

out of USJ. Unless of course there's an accident or roadworks.
Safety : Most housing areas have setup their own little communities where each section or even row is gated and guarded 24/7. However, This does not guarantee 100% safety or upkeep of this system. Thanks to ignorant and selfish home owners who choose to 'Ride' on the safety paid by others.
Accessibility : Being accessible from puchong, shah alam, NPE, LDP, KESAS, Federal Highway, what more can you ask for in terms of accessibility? Of course, do take note on travelling times.
Convenience : Commercial squares are 80-90% occupied, You have a plethora of food outlets be it Chinese food, Malay food, Indian food and much much more.... You'll never go hungry in USJ. Clinics, Hospitals, Police Stations, Schools, Sports fields, Shopping malls. All just a drive or even a walk away depending on where you should to live in USJ.
Now of course, my opinions come purely from the fact that I've lived here long enough to see USJ progress and grow, There are pros and cons where ever you choose to live or invest in..
