Subang Jaya, Selangor

Neighbourhood Review

UEP Subang Jaya which is also commonly known as USJ is a thriving township which is a part of Subang Jaya in Selangor. Featuring plenty of residential areas ranging from low-cost apartments to bungalows, UEP Subang Jaya is a high density township.

Some of its attractions is its proximity to several institutes of higher education and shopping malls. This has caused the price of homes here to be on a constant rise, although criminal activities have also risen by much in the township.

Residents and business owners have complained that despite having a police headquarter and a police station in Taipan USJ, break-ins, robberies and snatch-thefts are still rather common.

The traffic in UEP Subang Jaya is also a major issue with residents especially during peak hours, although the upcoming MRT project which goes through UEP Subang Jaya that is scheduled to be completed by 2016 is expected to ease traffic conditions.

Community of UEP Subang Jaya

This is one of the most congested areas in whole of Subang. Good to know about the official name of USJ, which is UEP Subang Jaya.

A well planned and self contained township with a few universities/colleges and private schools.
Best place to stay by far as it has everything everyone wants.

I was a Penang kid, but pretty much started my education all here. This is definitely a matured township that is very suitable for family stay as it an effin' awzum' place to be in. Stone's throw away from SS15, which will still be a Go-To place for desserts and... See More
5-star cheap food.
Anyone abroad who is coming here to stay, you pretty much can have a weekend day allocate for this place.
1. 9:00AM - wakeup, brush teeth, dress-up and put-on your fippers
2. 9:45AM - walk to Ooi's Noodle House and order that friggin' pork noodle (which probably just take you awhile as compared to peak hours of minimum 45 minutes). Soup tastes heavenly like the authentic one in Penang.
3. 10:30AM - walk to opposite lot Fat Baby's for their ice cream waffle! Must pick Salted Caramel, Honey I'm Home, Lemon Pie, & Chocolate. No regrets
4. 11:15AM - get a ride to 5 minute away Sunway Pyramid do you shopping. You know what to do lah...
5. 13:00PM - get out of Sunway Pyramid and get back to SS15's Uncle Seng Wantan Mee. Very unique kind of homemade wantan mee that you probably never seen before, you can even drink the sambal as it taste somewhat sweet (still you'll end up in the toilet at the end of the day)
6. 13:45PM - walk to nearby gerai that sells Rojak & Cendol! Just order them and share with your friends. Worth the queue. In case your rojak not enough stuff, just buy some vadai from the beside stall and add it as a "spare part" of your rojak meal. Once done, slurp the Cendol because "I don't care how full are you but you'll thank me later".
7. 14:15PM - go to Courtyard Loudspeaker and Karaoke Chill. At the same time, you'll digest your food with a little singing.
8. 15:30PM - time to get back to work! go to korean dessert shop in the same complex - Hanbing, and just order either their Cookies n Cream bingsu or the Durian bingsu. Remember to share with your friends, don't be greedy because you have a long way more to go.
9. 16:00PM - you should be really tired with the hot weather by now. so walk to the massage palour called Wan Hsing and pamper yourself with the full body massage. Try it with oil, it will cool you down and refresh your biological systems. At the same time, you can relax and enjoy the tranquility. No dodgy stuff no worries.
10. 17:00PM - behind this massage parlour, there's a place called Gold Chili. Walk there and treat yourself with the famous butter chicken rice. Since it's almost dinner time, you might as well just order the upsize.
11. 17:45PM - they say there's always a room for dessert. walk down the opposite row to reach for the Snowflake Taroball dessert. You'll never go wrong in here with the signature black cold (unless can't consume cold then just go with the hot). Again, share it with your friends because mama said not to consume too much sweet stuff :3
12. 18:30PM - go Waze for "Foh Foh", basically it's a hawker shop that has really goooood Penang Fried Rice. They made the soy sauce themselves and it ain't salty as you think. The egg frying technique here is really an art, real beauty on how "half-cooked yet cooked " if you know what I mean.
13. 17:00PM - walk to nearby hospital called Sime Darby Medical Centre. tell them that you need to cleanse your body because you just got food coma.
Thank you.
