Taman Sri Perkasa Baru is a housing development situated along Jalan Maju Jaya in Ipoh. It offers 48 two-storey terrace homes built on plots measuring 20’ x 70’. Each of the homes is suitable for families, and comes with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living areas, high ceilings and an open-plan layout flowing from the living area and dining area to the dry and wet kitchens. Also, the porch can comfortably fit 2 cars.

Security is a priority in many of the developer’s projects, and Taman Sri Perkasa Baru is no exception. For a year after the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) is issued, residents will be able to enjoy 24-hour security surveillance. Also, a complimentary alarm system is installed in every terrace home.

It’s no surprise that there was a healthy amount of interest in the properties – by the time they were launched on Valentine’s Day 2016, more than 50% had been sold. Moreover, Taman Sri Perkasa Baru is surrounded by established townships and neighbourhoods like Pasir Puteh, Gunung Rapat, Bandar Siber and Pengkalan.

This translates into an abundance of amenities, for example the Tesco and AEON malls in the well-populated residential neighbourhood of Pengkalan Station 18, banking facilities, religious institutions, F&B outlets and a cinema.

Via Jalan Kuala Kangsar, one of the area’s thoroughfares, the Ipoh city centre is but 8km (or a 15-minute drive) away, along with its myriad of educational, medical, commercial and entertainment facilities. These include the Asia Metropolitan International School (AMETIS), Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Pantai Hospital Ipoh and Ipoh Parade.

Schools in the vicinity include SJK (C) Yuk Choy, Shen Jai High School, SK Sungai Rokam and SMK Gunung Rapat. Taman Sri Perkasa Baru is also situated within close proximity to the light industrial area of Kinta Jaya.

Potential buyers, however, need to take note that the development is situated near to the airport and a training institute for the air force, so airplanes flying overhead are to be expected. Nevertheless, the homes here are good options to be considered for a relatively affordable (with prices under RM400,000 when first launched) place to stay in Ipoh.
