Taman Mutiara is the latest development in the Kampung Permatang, Kuala Selangor region. The residence consists of single-storey and double-storey houses, and is a Malay reserve land. The development focuses heavily on making use of the open space nature of the area to create a comfortable setting for its tenants.

The single storey units, dubbed Type C1 and C2, have built-ups of 1,175 sf. There are only 32 of these units, and it also comes with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. On the other hand, there are 69 units of double-storey houses, consisting of Types A1, A2, B1 and B2. These units are the larger among the the layouts, with a built-up of 1,762 sf. Both the layouts are designed to comfortably fit in medium to large-sized families. The units are also affordable, with price starting from RM299,000.

There is a centralised facility system implemented Taman Mutiara, much like most of the facilities that are designed in other developments today. Social and neighbourhood bonding is assured with this approach, more so with a landscaped garden that has been placed in the front of the low-density neighbourhood. Within the garden, there is a multi-purpose court for sports and a playground for children to enjoy in, while parents are still able to keep watch.

Being isolated does have its benefits in the form of more greenery, as well as peace and quiet. The downside, however, is the number of amenities that are nearby, which in this case, is not much. However, there are nearby townships such as Tanjung Karang and the Kampung Permatang town centre that will be able to provide amenities such as restaurants, service centres and banks for tenants. The Kuala Selangor town centre is also just a short drive away, where banks, a post office, Giant Kuala Selangor, and other state government service offices are located.

There are also schools nearby where parents can consider sending their children to. The nearest school is Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pengkalan Permatang, and Sekolah Kebangsaan Kuala Selangor. The INPENS International College is also nearby, giving options for tertiary education without having to travel too far.

Taman Mutiara is best accessed via the Kuala Lumpur-Teluk Intan federal route, which also connects the residence to other townships and landmarks such as Tanjung Karang and Sekinchan.
