Vista Gambier is a single, high rise development located amidst the lush greenery of the housing area of Island Glades and Bukit Gambier. Strategically placed in the centre of Penang, the ‘V’ shaped property of Vista Gambier is a low density project with only eight units per floor, two layouts for residents to choose from, and resort-style facilities.
Vista Gambier is the first project for a developer whose primary business is in manufacturing, and there were concerns of whether the company was reliable and whether the property would be good. In the initial stages of the development, homeowners discovered that the built-up for the intermediate units were bigger than what as stated in the S&P agreement but was blocked by a wall.
While it was good news to some, others were not so pleased as this meant that they had to spend more money to remove the wall in order to enjoy the extra space. Another issue voiced out by the homeowners was the balcony which appeared spacious in the brochures; but during a visit to the unit, the balcony was noticeably narrow, with hardly enough space to fit a standard-sized clothes dryer.
