Bandar Puteri Puchong is a township in the densely populated town of Puchong whereby the homes here cater to those of the middle income group. Being a mixed development, Bandar Puteri Puchong is a fairly self-sustained township.

Bandar Puteri Puchong is usually a prime choice for those from the middle income group who are looking for a home close to the city centre, and as such development is a constant ongoing affair in this township.

Due to the high density of residential areas in Bandar Puteri Puchong, the main roads leading to and fro this neighbourhood are generally congested at most times of the day. Nevertheless, residents of Bandar Puteri Puchong are fairly well provided for with numerous shopping malls, restaurants and entertainment outlets within short driving distance.

The upcoming LRT extension project which will connect Putra Heights and Ampang via Sri Petaling will run through Puchong, and it is hoped that this public transportation will alleviate the traffic conditions of this township.

While the prices of essential goods have shown a variation in the Percentage Changes, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) on the other hand indicates a reality of ever increasing prices in essential goods with increments between the years 2011 - 2015 at 102.7 in 2011, 105.1 in 2012, 107.3 in 2013, 111.0 in 2014, 113.8 in 2015.
