Old Klang Road is perhaps ahead of the times, being a self-contained suburb before it became a “thing” to be self-contained. It can be described as well connected, with a variety of landed and high rise homes, well populated and served by a wide selection of eateries, shopping malls, a well known wet market, schools and even a hotel.

Old Klang Road is one of the oldest and most historically-significant roads in Kuala Lumpur. Several decades ago, it was the only link between Kuala Lumpur and Port Klang. Today, it is one of the best connected areas in the Klang Valley; via multiple access roads, 3 KTM stations, Rapid KL bus network and the much anticipated new MRT station at Kuchai Lama in 2022. It is the main thoroughfare connecting Taman OUG (Overseas Union Garden) which is situated on Old Klang Road, and its environ like the highly populated Bukit Jalil and Sri Petaling.

It’s position as a mature neighbourhood on the fringe of the city area ticks many boxes for both home occupiers and investors. In addition to this, it can also boast its proximity to the integrated Mid Valley development and the KL Sentral transport hub. Recent developments have been mostly high rises, given the scarcity of land for residential. According to Knight Frank Malaysia, the new developments have been well received by the younger market who favour amenities to built up area, and are perhaps looking to branch out from the parental home.
